Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

  • EMERGENCY PERMIT PROCEDURES FOR HURRICANE DEBBY IN FLORIDA

    Expiration date: 3/4/2025

    The purpose of this notice is to advise the public that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will initiate the following emergency permitting procedures within Florida in response to conditions resulting from Hurricane Debby that affected Florida throughout the week of August 5, 2024. These alternate procedures are authorized until March 4, 2025.

    Polk County. Polk County Roads and Drainage Division. Winter Haven. FL. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic project purpose is roadway drainage improvements. Overall: The overall project purpose is to improve roadway drainage efficiency along Creekwater Drive and repair eroded banks on Ewell Road.

    Lee County. Chipola Land Group, LLC. Sarasota. FL. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Residential Development. Overall: The overall project purpose is to construct a moderately sized (approximately 100 acres) single-family residential development in eastern Lee County.

    Miami-Dade County. PortMiami. Miami. FL. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Dredging of existing berths to remove sediment accumulation to maintain the use of Port Miami. Overall: To restore the depth of existing berths to pre-existing conditions to safely accommodate the draft and maneuverability of ships at an active port within Biscayne Bay, in Miami, Florida.

    Palm Beach County and Broward County. South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). West Palm Beach. FL. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Improvements to water conveyance and water quality. Overall: To increase conveyance capacity in the L-5 remnant canal located in the Everglades Watershed Basin, Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA), Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) 03090202, to provide better water quality downstream to the Florida Everglades, Water Conservation Area 3A (WCA-3A), and Biscayne Bay.
