Notice is given that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was notified by the U.S. Coast Guard on April 28, 2023, of the following scheduled bridge closures affecting Navigation of the Okeechobee Waterway. The following provides pertinent information:
FLORIDA – AICW – OKEECHOBEE WATERWAY – CSX INDIANTOWN RR BRIDGE: Bridge Repairs/Temporary Deviation
PCL Civil Constructors, Inc., on behalf of CSX Transportation, the bridge owner, is authorized to temporarily deviate from the drawbridge operation regulation 33 CFR 117.317(e) that governs the CSX Indiantown RR Bridge, across the Okeechobee Waterway (St. Lucie Canal), mile 28.2, at Indiantown, Florida.
Temporary Deviation UPDATE 04/07/2020:
Under this temporary deviation, the CSX Indiantown RR Bridge is authorized to operate as follows:
- From 6:00 a.m. May 2, 2023, through 6:00 a.m. May 6, 2023, the bridge is allowed to remain closed to navigation.
- From 6:00 a.m. May 6, 2023, through 6:00 a.m. May 22, 2023, the bridge is allowed to remain closed to navigation except that an opening will
be provided at 12:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., daily upon request.
