The Corps can assist sponsors and other interested parties in addressing water resource problems. There are several Corps programs available to provide opportunities to solve these problems. The Corps' Jacksonville District covers Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, a small portion of southeast Georgia, and most of Florida. The Jacksonville District's Plan Formulation Branch is the local sponsor's starting point for determining if their water resource problem meets the criteria for obtaining federal money and assistance. The following information has been arranged to provide a general understanding of the federal assistance programs that are provided, the work that is done, and who to contact in Jacksonville District's Plan Formulation Branch.
