The Jacksonville District Corps of Engineers areas of responsibility covers peninsular Florida, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. The underwater diving program encompasses two separate areas.

•   Contract underwater diving operations administered by district staff and inspected by trained diving inspectors.
•   Scientific diving investigations performed by in-house scientists and A/E contractors.
