Lake Okeechobee and the Okeechobee Waterway Facebook site launched

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announces the launch of the Lake Okeechobee and the Okeechobee Waterway Facebook site. This page is specifically geared towards people who want to learn more about Lake Okeechobee and the Okeechobee Waterway and the surrounding communities. A variety of information will be posted, including information about water releases, navigation, structure closings, water safety, recreation, the Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail (LOST), the Herbert Hoover Dike, boating and fishing, environmental stewardship, local events, emergency operations and much more.
