Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

Overall: To provide additional deepwater reef habitat to enhance existing and create new coral and fish habitat within the Ernst Reef deployment area, Martin County, Florida.

Overall: The overall project purpose is construction of an artificial reef to support the formation of new marine life and to service commercial and recreational users within the Dixie County area.

    Miami-Dade County. Miami-Dade County DERM. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic project purpose is to modifying a previously authorized artificial reef deployment area and installing an artificial reef located along the north portion of the deployment area. Overall: The overall project purpose is to create a recreational dive/snorkel trail for the general public by modifying the previous authorized artificial reef deployment area and installing an artificial reef structure located along the north portion of the deployment area at the coordinates identified above in the Atlantic Ocean waters off the shore of Miami Beach

  • REGIONAL GENERAL PERMIT SAJ-82

    Monroe County. DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY PERMIT REGIONAL GENERAL PERMIT (RGP) SAJ-82. Work Authorized: Upon recommendation of the Chief of Engineers, pursuant to Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. 403), and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. 1344) general authority is hereby given for single-family and multi-family residential, government, and commercial projects including: Lot fills (for single-family and multi-family residences only); Construction of minor structures, docking facilities and other recreational structures, including repair or replacement of said structures; Boat ramps; Shoreline stabilization activities; and Minor and maintenance dredging. Activities will be located in waters of the United States (WOTUS) within the Florida Keys, Monroe County, Florida excluding federally maintained navigation channels, and flood control projects. This authorization is valid subject to the following Special and General Conditions.

    Brevard County. Florida Department of Transportation, District 5, DeLand, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Linear Transportation. Overall: The purpose of the Space Coast Trail would be to construct a multi-use trail to serve as a component of the Coast to Coast (C2C) Trail and the St. Johns River-to-Sea Loop Trail, providing the easternmost section of the C2C trail between Titusville and the Atlantic Ocean and connectivity for the St. Johns River-to-Sea Loop Trail in Brevard County.
