U.S. Army Corps announces Chief’s Report signing for flood reduction studies in U.S. Virgin Islands
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces that Lt. Gen. Todd T. Semonite, commanding general, has signed the Chief’s Reports for two flood damage reduction studies in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The signing of these reports for the Savan Gut Phase II and Turpentine Run projects, marks a crucial milestone and progresses the proposed projects to Congress for individual authorization.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, is considering design changes to increase the robustness, resiliency and/or reliability of the Manatee County, Florida, Federal Shore Protection Project through minor design refinements, and seeks public comment on a Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA).

El Cuerpo de Ingenieros del Ejército de los Estados Unidos (USACE por sus siglas en inglés), anuncia que el Teniente General Todd T. Semonite, comandante general, ha firmado el “Chief’s Report” para el estudio de reducción de inundaciones del Rio Culebrinas en Puerto Rico. La firma de este informe significa un momento crucial y avanza el proyecto al Congreso para la autorización individual.

El Cuerpo de Ingenieros del Ejército de los EE. UU. (USACE por sus siglas en inglés) ofrecerá dos seminarios por internet sobre el Estudio de Manejo de Riesgos de Tormentas Costeras en el área metropolitana de San Juan, Puerto Rico. El personal del USACE presentará el borrador del Informe Integrado de Viabilidad y el Informe de Evaluación Ambiental que actualmente está disponible para revisión pública.

Corps host Public Webinars on San Juan Metro Area Coastal Storm Risk Management Study
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District will host two public webinars on the San Juan Metro Area Coastal Storm Risk Management Study in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The study team will present the draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment report, which is currently available for public review.

Jacksonville District awards contract to repair Ponce de Leon North Jetty
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Aug. 4, 2020) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District awarded a $7,015,443 contract July 28, 2020, to Kiewit Infrastructure South Co. of Omaha, Neb., for the Ponce De Leon Inlet North Jetty Rehabilitation and Aid to Navigation Replacement Project at Ponce de Leon Inlet in Volusia County, Fla.
