4. STATUS
The draft Final integrated Feasibility Report was in Policy and Legal Compliance Review preparing for State and Agency Review when the study was paused. An Environmental Compliance Policy Exception request, pushing environmental compliance into the Pre-construction Engineering and Design phase when additional data could be obtained and the level of design would increase, was declined. Due to the limited remaining time in the study schedule and funding in the study budget, the memo recommended the submission of a Time and Funding Exemption. In October 2021, a Time and Funding Exemption request was submitted, in accordance with Section 1001 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2014. The request is currently in review by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Headquarters.
