1. DESCRIPTION

The work consists of maintenance dredging the 50-foot Entrance Channel to include Bar Cut 3, and non-50-foot portions including the Turning Basin, Destroyer Slip, and Small Boat Basin at the U.S. Naval Station (NS) Mayport, Florida.

2. FUNDING

4. STATUS

Approximately 1,400,000 cubic yards is maintenance dredged once every two years; however, the maintenance dredging schedule from FY24 will be on an annual basis. The last maintenance dredging event was completed in FY21. All material resulting from this work was transported to and placed in the Jacksonville ODMDS. The FY23 maintenance dredging was awarded in November 2022. Dredging is scheduled to be completed by September 2023.
