    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District invites Project Delivery Team members, stakeholders, partners, and members of the public to attend a virtual Project Delivery Team (PDT) Meeting for the Biscayne Bay and Southeastern Everglades Ecosystem Restoration (BBSEER) Project study on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • USACE announces public comment on proposed alum treatment system for C-43 West Basin Storage Reservoir pursuant to Section 408

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Jacksonville District announces a 30-day public comment period for the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Proposed Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the approval of construction of an aluminum sulfate (alum) treatment system during the construction of the authorized C-43 West Basin Storage Reservoir (WBSR) in Hendry County, Florida. The Corps is evaluating the request from the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) to modify the C-43 WBSR Federal Civil Works project pursuant to 33 U.S.C. 408. Comments are due June 5, 2023.
  • USACE seeks NEPA Public Scoping Comments on the Lake Okeechobee Component A Storage Reservoir (LOCAR) Section 203 Study

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District (USACE) announces a 30-day public NEPA scoping comment period for the North of Lake Okeechobee Storage Reservoir Section 203 Study, also known as the Lake Okeechobee Component A Storage Reservoir (LOCAR) Section 203 Study being conducted by the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). Comments are due Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
  • USACE announces public scoping meetings and comment period for Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP) Operational Plan

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District announces public scoping meetings and public comment on the CEPP Operational Plan. In-person meetings are scheduled during the afternoon and evening of April 25 in Cutler Bay, and a virtual meeting is scheduled for the evening of April 26. Public Scoping Comments are due May 15.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District invites Project Delivery Team members, stakeholders, partners, and members of the public to attend a virtual Project Delivery Team (PDT) Meeting for the Biscayne Bay and Southeastern Everglades Ecosystem Restoration (BBSEER) Project study on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 1 to 4 p.m., AND requests RSVPs for In-Person (Hybrid) back-to-back PDT Meetings Thursday, April 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, April 28, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the South Florida Water Management District Headquarters at 3301 Gun Club Road in West Palm Beach.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District invites partners, stakeholders, and the public to join us for to a Virtual Project Delivery Team (PDT) Meeting for the Western Everglades Restoration Project (WERP) on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. “We invite Project Delivery Team members, tribes, landowners, partners, stakeholders and the public to join us at a Virtual Project Delivery Team Meeting on the Western Everglades Restoration Project,” said WERP Project Manager Steve Baisden. “Members of the PDT and the public will have an opportunity to receive an update on the replacement of the Wingate Mill STA feature and path forward.”

All participants joining the November 18 Virtual Integrated Delivery Schedule (IDS) Task Force Stakeholder Workshop virtually are required to pre-register at: https://www.evergladesrestoration.gov/workshops/november-18-2022-integrated-delivery-schedule-ids-stakeholder-workshop to receive a secure link allowing them to participate in the Zoom Webinar.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District requests RSVPs for two back-to-back in-person Project Delivery Team (PDT) Meetings for the Biscayne Bay and Southeastern Everglades Ecosystem Restoration (BBSEER) Project study on Wednesday, October 26, and Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the FAU Davie Campus at 3200 College Avenue, Davie, Florida, 33314. There will also be a virtual option available for those unable to attend in-person.
