Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

    Brevard County. Matthew Development LLC, Viera, FL. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Multimodal Development (single family residential, multi-family residential, and commercial). Overall: Construct a multimodal development with direct access to I-95 in central Brevard County, Florida.

  • Regional General Permit SAJ-86, SAJ-2004-01861

    Expiration date: 2/8/2020

    Bay and Walton Counties, Florida. Regional General Permit SAJ-86 PURPOSE & WORK: The purpose of SAJ-86 is to authorize the discharge of fill or dredged material into non-tidal waters of the United States, including wetlands, for the construction of residential, commercial, recreational and institutional projects and their attendant features, including roads, utility lines and stormwater treatment facilities within an area of rapid residential and commercial development, while protecting the aquatic environment on a watershed scale by authorizing a forward-looking, flexible and predictable permitting program, that would minimize unavoidable direct impacts to highest quality aquatic resources, minimize impacts to lower quality aquatic resources, and mitigate for direct, indirect and cumulative impacts within the affected watersheds of an approximately 48,150-acre area in southeastern Walton County and southwestern Bay County.

    Brevard County. Emerald Investment Holdings, LLC. Tampa, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Multimodal (residential, commercial, educational, recreational) Development Overall: Construct a multimodal development with direct access to I-95 in southern Brevard County, Florida.

  • SAJ-2018-03427 (SP-KDS)

    Expiration date: 10/7/2019

    Palm Beach County. South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). West Palm Beach, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Water quality improvements. Overall: To provide water quality improvements to the Miami Canal. In addition, if the Corps constructs the proposed A-2 Reservoir, the overall project purpose would include improving water quality and assisting in achieving the water quality based effluent limitation (WQBEL) for water discharged from the A-2 Reservoir.

  • SAJ-2019-01151 (SP-CMM)

    Expiration date: 7/19/2019

    Brevard County. City of Melbourne and City of Cocoa, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Municipal water infrastructure. Overall: To install new water utility infrastructure in order to improve redundancy and water quality for the cities of Cocoa and Melbourne and meet existing water demands for the residents and businesses on the barrier islands.
