Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

    Santa Rosa County. Santa Rosa County, Milton, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Living Shoreline. Overall: Construct semi-circular living shoreline planters at an existing public park in Navarre, Santa Rosa County, Florida.

    Hardee County. Mosaic Fertilizer, LLC, Lithia, Florida. PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: The applicant seeks authorization to enhance, create, restore, preserve and protect wetlands and uplands on the 1,238.6-acre property. The primary ecological goal of the PMB is to is to preserve, enhance, and/or establish approximately 873.7 acres of wetland and 360.3 acres of upland communities to improve fish and wildlife habitat use and connectivity; increase wetland, floodplain, and riverine function and quality; and improve the overall integrity of the communities within the Peace River Watershed. Please note the approximately 4.6 acres encumbered by existing utility easements are not included in the preservation, enhancement, or establishment acreages above as the easements limit activities that can be undertaken within these areas.     Duval County. Amkin Hill Street, LLC, Miami, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic project purpose is commercial development. Overall: The overall project purpose is the expansion of an existing shipping facility to improve navigation and upgrade facilities

  • SAJ-2021-01859 (SP-CMM)

    Expiration date: 7/30/2021

    Osceola County. Linette Matheny, Kissimmee, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Dredging. Overall: Removal of shoal created by sedimentation at the mouth of the C-35 canal in Cypress lake by way of dredging.

    Expiration date: 3/3/2021

    Duvall County, Jason Jones, Jacksonville, Florida, PROJECT PURPOSE: The proposed modification would result in the extension of the time to complete the authorized work. Basic: The basic project purpose is to construct a private residential single-family home and dock. Overall: The overall project purpose is to construct a private residential single-family home and dock within River Cove Subdivision, adjacent to Mill Cove in Jacksonville, Florida. EXISTING CONDITIONS: The onsite vegetation consists of loblolly bay (Gordonia lasianthus), sweetbay (Magnolia virginiana), water oak (Quercus nigra), and southern magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora). The existing area surrounding the project consists of single-family home sites. PROPOSED WORK: The applicant seeks authorization to discharge fill material into 0.196 acres of waters of the United States (wetlands) to construct a single-family residence. The work consists of placing fill in wetlands to construct the house pad and driveway. In addition, the applicant proposes to construct a single-family dock consisting of a 5-foot by 245-foot boardwalk with a 20-foot by 20-foot gazebo, a 5-foot by 300-foot access pier, a 10-foot by 20-foot terminal platform, and a 17-foot by 35-foot covered boat slip.
