Corps to maintain current flows from Lake Okeechobee

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville district has decided to continue releases of water from Lake Okeechobee at the same target flows for at least another week. The Corps will begin a seven-day pulse release from the lake starting Friday (Jan. 8). W.P. Franklin South Recreation Area beach closed for swimming
