Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

    Expiration date: 10/28/2020

    Highlands County. Aquatic Resource Mitigation, LLC. Gainesville, Florida. The Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received a complete prospectus proposing the establishment of a mitigation bank. The Corps has posted a full copy of the NSMMB prospectus online so that it is available for review by the public.

  • NATIONWIDE PERMIT REISSUANCE REQUEST FOR COMMENTS

    On September 15, 2020, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers published in the Federal Register its proposal to reissue the 52 existing nationwide permits (NWPs) and issue five new NWPs.

  • ALTERNATIVE PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESSING PROCEDURES FOR ACTIVITIES IN RESPONSE TO HURRICANE SALLY

    Expiration date: 3/24/2021

    All affected Florida Counties. The purpose of this notice is to advise the public that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, will initiate alternative permitting procedures throughout affected areas in the State of Florida in response to conditions resulting from Hurricane Sally. These alternate procedures will be utilized for a period of 6 months from September 24, 2020, and through March 24, 2021:

    Miami-Dade County. Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). Jupiter, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic project purpose is utility infrastructure maintenance. Overall: The overall project purpose is a hardening initiative of the existing electric distribution infrastructure to make the energy grid stronger and more storm resilient along the Card Sound Road area, in southern Miami-Dade County.

  • SAJ-2015-02725 (MOD-JMB)

    Expiration date: 10/13/2020

    Brevard County. Blue Origin Florida, LLC. Orbital Launch System (OLS) Manufacturing Complex. Merritt Island, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Commercial rocket manufacturing test site. Overall: The overall project purpose is the development of a testing facility for manufactured rocket components within John F. Kennedy Space Center in Brevard County.
