Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

    Sarasota County. Main Street Ranchlands, LLLP. Venice, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Housing and retail. Overall: To construct a mixed use single- and multi-family residential and commercial/retail development in the vicinity of U.S. 41 and S River Road near North Port, Florida, to meet local demand for these types of residential and commercial/retail uses in this area.

    Sarasota County. Stephen C. Scalione; Benderson Development. Bradenton, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Residential development. Overall: The overall project purpose is to construct a multi-family residential development within the Southern Manatee & Northern Sarasota area.

    Sarasota County. Resort Lifestyle Communities. Lincoln, Nebraska PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Residential. Overall: Over time seniors require a transition from independent living to assisted living centers. The proposed project will satisfy the current demand for senior citizen housing.

  • SAJ-2017-03119 (SP-EWG)

    Expiration date: 6/18/2018

    Sarasota County. Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority. Lakewood Ranch, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Buried Pipeline. Overall: The project known as Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority Interconnect Regional Loop Phase 3B is to improve distribution of potable water to Sarasota County. The proposed potable water transmission pipeline would interconnect with the Phase 3A and later on with Phase 3C to allow the county to meet its year 2035 projected water demands, and improve service to customers north of Fruitville Road.
