Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

  • PUBLIC NOTICE EMERGENCY PERMITTING PROCEDURES FOR HURRICANE FIONA IN PUERTO RICO AND THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS

    The purpose of this notice is to advise the public that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District will initiate the following emergency permitting procedures in response to conditions resulting from storm damage from Hurricane Fiona in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. These alternate procedures will be utilized until March 21, 2023:

    Madison County. Lake Sampala Timber & Land Company, LLC, Zephyrhills, Florida. PROSPECTUS SUMMARY: Pursuant to 33 CFR 332.8(d)(4), the Corps has posted a full copy of the LKSAMB prospectus online so that it is available for review by the public. The prospectus may be downloaded from the Regulatory In-Lieu Fee and Bank Information Tracking System (RIBITS) at web address: https://ribits.ops.usace.army.mil/ords/f?p=107:2. Once on the RIBITS homepage, select "Jacksonville" from the "ALL DISTRICTS" drop down menu located in the lower left corner of the screen. Once the district filter has been selected, click on the “Banks & ILF Sites” link located in the Navigation box (upper left corner). This will generate a list of projects, scroll down the list and click on the “Lake Sampala MB” link. On this page, click on the "Cyber Repository" link located on the menu bar above the General Information box, then click on the Prospectus Documents folder to access the prospectus associated with the LKSAMB project.

    Escambia County. Jerry Morgan, Orange Beach, Alabama. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Upland Cut Boat Slip Overall: Construct an upland cut boat slip on a single-family lot on a manmade canal on Bayou Garcon, in Escambia County, Florida.

    Bay County. City of Mexico Beach, Mexico Beach, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Marine habitat enhancement. Overall: Reauthorize and expand an existing artificial reef site, known as Sandy Reef, with deployment of approved materials in order to enhance the marine habitat in the offshore waters of the Gulf of Mexico, southwest of Mexico Beach, Bay County, Florida.

    Flagler County. Hammock Harbour, LLC, Palm Coast, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic project purpose is access to navigation and commercial development. Overall: The overall project purpose is commercial development with vessel access to navigable waters in northeast Flagler County, Florida.
