MAYPORT, Fla. -This week at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksat hisonville District celebrates the promotion of 1st Lt. Peyton Pisacane to the rank of Army Captain in a ceremony officiated by U.S. Army Maj. Matthew Westcott, deputy commander for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District at the Seaglass Club on Naval Air Station Mayport.
“This is a well-deserved promotion, the district is proud of you, and I am extremely happy to play an important role in your life as an Army Officer at this pivotal point and time in your career,” said Westcott.
His parents, Frank and Paige Pisacane, girlfriend, Brin Balcom, grandmother, Marie Pisacane, twin brother, Trisston and friends joined Pisacane at the ceremony.
Pisacane serves as a project manager in the Military/Interagency and International Services Branch with the Jacksonville District.
“I love the Army and my job.,” said Pisacane. “This is a great day for me, especially now that I have my family and friends here with me to be a part of it,” said Pisacane during the ceremony. “I especially want to take this time to thank my family, special friends, the Tabors, who lost their son (my close friend) from ranger school for being here, my best friend and twin brother, Trisston and fiancée for their unconditional love and support.”
Prior to Pisacane’s arrival to the Jacksonville District, he served as a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in the 20th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade in Fort Cavazos, Tx.
He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and was commissioned into the U.S. Army Engineer Branch in 2021.
Pisacane is a native of Franklin, Tenn., and has family in Connecticut. He enjoys running, fishing, watching sports, playing guitar and spending time with family and friends.
“We are so, so proud of Peyton for his achievements,” said his grandmother Marie Pisacane. “He and his twin brother continue to amaze us by their accomplishments and achievements, and it makes me proud to tell people that he is an Amy Engineer and is serving his country.”
