    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District announces that it will reconvene the Project Delivery Team (PDT) breakout groups for the Biscayne Bay and Southeastern Everglades Ecosystem Restoration (BBSEER) Project Study on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 9:30-12:30 to continue work on developing alternative plans.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announces a series of Operational Guidance Workshops for the Lake Okeechobee System Operating Manual (LOSOM) Project Delivery Team (PDT). The first LOSOM Operational Guidance Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, September 8, 2021 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Additional Operational Guidance Workshops are scheduled for September 22 and 29.
  • USACE Jacksonville District hosts Change of Command ceremony

    Command of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District will change hands during a traditional Army ceremony Thursday, Sept. 9, starting 1:00 p.m. at the Terry Theater, Times Union Center, 300 Water Street, Jacksonville. The event will be livestreamed from the Jacksonville District Facebook page at www.facebook.com/JacksonvilleDistrict. Attendance at the Times Union Center is limited and only by invitation due to COVID social distancing requirements.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announces an award of a construction contract for ecosystem restoration in south Florida valued at more than $10 million. The project is part of Biscayne Bay Coastal Wetlands (BBCW), Phase I.

  • Corps advises mariners it will begin dredging Intracoastal Waterway, Palm Valley North Reaches, in St. Johns County

    The Jacksonville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will begin dredging sections of the Intracoastal Waterway (IWW) in St. Johns County, Florida, within the Palm Valley North Reach beginning in the October 2021 timeframe and finishing in May 2022.
  • Corps publishes environmental documents related to installation of pedestrian dune walkovers for public review, comment

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, has published a notice of availability for public comment on a draft Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) and Proposed Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for the installation of pedestrian dune walkovers constructed over Federal Coastal Storm Risk Management Projects and Shore Protection Projects conducted by non-Federal sponsors or independent requestors within the district’s Civil Works area of responsibility in the State of Florida.

  • USACE to host landowners meeting for Indian River Lagoon South

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, in cooperation with its state partner, the South Florida Water Management District, will host a landowners meeting on Aug. 25.
