  • Corps requests public scoping comments on a temporary deviation from the Lake Kissimmee Interim Regulation Schedule

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District requests public scoping comments on the proposed temporary deviation to the current Lake Kissimmee, Hatchineha and Cypress Interim regulation schedule. Scoping comments are due October 7.
  • Corps offers series of webinars on Lake O water management

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District will offer a series of lunchtime webinars to provide background information on water management in south Florida as it pertains to Lake Okeechobee and the region. Jacksonville District staff will conduct six webinars, the first beginning at noon, May 20. The intent is to provide information to the public on the Central & Southern Florida Project water management system as work continues on the new Lake Okeechobee System Operating Manual (LOSOM).
  • Corps announces changes to Kissimmee River lower basin navigation

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District continues work towards bringing the Kissimmee River Restoration project to completion. Ongoing construction in the Kissimmee River lower basin is limiting navigation between water control Structures 65A and 65D. To access the river north of the construction activities, boaters are advised to use the Structure 65 boat ramp off U.S. Highway 60 on the west side of the structure. Navigation will remain open both north and south of the Istokpoga Canal boat ramp. Navigation south of the construction site is available via the Structure 65D Boat Ramp.
