U.S. Naval Station Kings Bay dredging and Fernandina Beach renourishment starts soon

Nassau County residents and visitors will begin seeing construction equipment and dredging pipes on Fernandina Beach around November 1 in preparation for the next scheduled maintenance dredging of U.S. Naval Station Kings Bay and sand placement at Fernandina Beach and Fort Clinch State Park - which will get underway in December and will last for approximately three months. Corps awards contract for U.S. Naval Station Kings Bay dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District awarded a $9.8 million contract to Manson Construction Company for the next scheduled maintenance dredging of U.S. Naval Station Kings Bay Entrance Channel.
