Corps of Engineers issues permit decision on Ridge Road Extension project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issued a Department of Army permit in accordance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act for the extension of Ridge Road from its present terminus at Moon Lake Road / DeCubellis Road to U.S Highway 41 at its intersection with Connerton Boulevard in Pasco County, Florida. The permit was issues Dec. 20.

Corps withdrawing from the Florida joint application process

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District announced today that in an effort to increase its efficiency and service to the public, it is withdrawing from the Florida Joint Application process, effective Oct. 1.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issues permit authorization for construction of State Road 7 Extension in Palm Beach County

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District issued a Department of the Army (DA) permit to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District 4 and the County of Palm Beach for the construction of a new roadway extension of State Road (SR) 7 from 60th Street North to Northlake Boulevard in Palm Beach County. The permit was issued on July 20.

Corps awards contract for Biscayne Bay Coastal Wetlands Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District has awarded a construction contract that will help to restore critical water flow to Biscayne Bay as part of its ongoing efforts to restore America’s Everglades. The Corps awarded the construction contract for the L-31E Flow Way Culverts 712A and 712B to Sweat, LLC from Orange Park, Florida on Wednesday (Sept. 28) for $777,572.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers extends public comment period on proposed Lemon Bay Cove project through June 4

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District will continue to receive public comments on the proposed Lemon Bay Cove project in Charlotte County through June 4. Lemon Bay Cove LLC. had applied to the Corps for a Department of the Army permit to fill nearly two acres of jurisdictional tidal saltwater forested mangrove wetlands to construct a 12-residence community.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers denies permit for proposed SunWest County Park

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District has denied a Department of the Army permit application, requested by the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners, to construct a county park with boat access to the Gulf of Mexico.
