    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announces that there will be an orderly shutdown of the Corps Campgrounds on the Okeechobee Waterway next week, including the Ortona South, St. Lucie South and W.P. Franklin North Campgrounds.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District has a plan in place for continuity of operations during a pandemic crisis such as COVID-19, is prepared to respond accordingly and will provide additional information to the public as the situation develops. This communication currently includes information for visitors to Corps Regulatory Offices, as well as campers and recreational users regarding operational adjustments that will take place at navigation locks and recreation facilities.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District announces an additional public meeting in the Florida Keys, as well as the public meetings in West Palm Beach and Cutler Bay, for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Combined Operational Plan (COP). Public comments are due March 16.

  • Corps announces public comment on Loxahatchee River Watershed Restoration Project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, announces public comment on the Final Integrated Project Implementation Report (PIR)/Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and Draft Chief's Report for the Loxahatchee River Watershed Restoration Project, part of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP). Public comments are due March 9.

  • Corps announces public meetings and comment period for Combined Operational Plan (COP)

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District, announces two public meetings (Feb. 18 in West Palm Beach and Feb. 20 in Cutler Bay) and public comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Combined Operational Plan (COP). Public comments are due March 16.

  • Corps opens public comment for C-111 South Dade Project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, will accept public comment on the Canal 111 South Dade (C-111 SD) Project, Replacement of Interim Pump Stations S-332B and S-332C, Draft Integrated General Re-Evaluation Report, Environmental Assessment and Proposed Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI). The report describes the recommended plan, identified as Alternative 3 in the document. Comments are due February 27.

  • Okeechobee Waterway Shoreline Management Plan FONSI available for public review

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District has started a public review of the proposed Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Lake Okeechobee and Okeechobee Waterway Shoreline Management Plan (SMP). Comments are due Feb. 6, 2020.

  • Corps accepts comments on Loxahatchee River Watershed Restoration Project Programmatic Agreement

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District announces a 30-day public comment period on the Draft Programmatic Agreement for the Loxahatchee River Watershed Restoration Project (LRWRP). Comments are due Nov. 27, 2019.
