Effective immediately: public notices are published with only the vicinity map, plan view and cross-section drawing. If you are interested in receiving additional project drawings associated with any public notice, please send an email to the project manager at the email address listed in the public notice.

 

Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

    Osceola County. AMERICAN SAINT CLOUD. St Cloud, Fl. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Multi-family residential development Overall: The overall project purpose is to create a mixed-use residential development, associated infrastructure and stormwater ponds and to provide a localized and regional residential area for northwest Osceola County.

    Lee County. Ehab Guirguis. Fort Myers Beach PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic project purpose is to re-establish a historic public-access recreational fishing structure near the City of Fort Myers Beach (FMB) central beach downtown area. Overall: The overall project purpose is to replace the damaged FMB municipal recreational fishing pier in the pier’s historic location near the FMB central beach downtown area, within proximity to existing pier related infrastructure (public restrooms and visitor parking) that their utilization as pier facilities would remain viable, and where the pier would continue as an economic benefit for local businesses and the community. Furthermore the proposed project needs to retain the integrity of the pier as a local landmark; satisfy current regulations related to structural resiliency and safety, including Americans with Disabilities Act requirements; and enhance the outdoor recreational needs of the community, based on public input, accommodated through an updated configuration that focuses on accessibility of amenities, and the capacity for current and projected volume of visitors, equivalent to other high-trafficked beaches and piers near Southwest Florida.

    Sumter County. FDOT District 5. Coleman, Fl. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Roadway improvements. Overall: To increase the traffic capacity of SR 35/US 301, improve safety, improve the hurricane evacuation route, provide a safe alternative freight route to Interstate (I)-75, and provide multi-modal facilities for pedestrians and bicyclists along the roadway corridor in Sumter County, Florida.

    Manatee County. Anne Ross. Lakewood Ranch, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic purpose is roadway access. Overall: The purpose of the proposed project is to construct the eastern extension of 44th Avenue East, a future four lane (120' right of way) County thoroughfare arterial roadway, from the existing terminus at Bourneside Boulevard to the applicant's eastern property boundary at the location of an existing right-of-way identified on the plat of The Waterbury Grape Fruit Tracts recorded in Plat Book 2, Page 37 of the Manatee County Plat Records as generally shown on Manatee County Comprehensive Plan Map 5C.
