Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

    Lee County. Holly Milbrandt. Sanibel, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Channel restoration and shoreline stabilization. Overall: The project provides channel restoration, and shoreline stabilization along approximately 750 linear feet of shoreline on Sanibel Island, Lee County Florida.

    Osceola County. City of Kissimmee, Kissimmee, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic project purpose is to provide passive recreational opportunities, such as walking, jogging, and bicycling, adjacent to Shingle Creek. Overall: The overall project purpose is to extend the existing Shingle Creek Regional Trail (SCRT) network, an approximately 32 mile long multi-use pedestrian and bicycle trail, that will become part of an extensive trail network extending from Kissimmee to Wekiva Springs State Park, and from Orlando to Mascotte. The SCRT, in its entirety, will serve as a key north-south connector in a larger regional trail network that includes the West Orange Trail, South Lake Trail, Cross Seminole Trail, and Seminole Wekiva Trail.

    Bay County. Achilles Holdings, LLC. Panama City Beach, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Residential Development. Overall: To construct a small residential development within Panama City Beach.

    Lee County. Mr. Ralph Roberts II. Fort Myers, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Access to navigable waters. Overall: Maintenance, excavation, and construction of a dock for multi-family access to navigable waters in west central Lee County.

    Pinelles County, Tom Bennett. Palm Harbor, Florida PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: To expand an existing docking facility Overall: The overall project purpose is to expand an existing commercial marina in St. Joseph’s Sound to meet public boating needs.
