Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

REGIONAL CONDITIONS FOR ISSUANCE OF 16 NATIONWIDE PERMITS

Enclosed are Jacksonville District’s Regional Conditions for 16 Nationwide Permits (NWPs) published in the January 13, 2021, issue of the Federal Register (86 FR 2744). These 16 NWPs and the enclosed Jacksonville District’s Regional Conditions become effective March 15, 2021, and will expire on March 14, 2026.

There are 12 NWPs (12, 21, 29, 39, 40, 42, 43, 44, 48, 50, 51, and 52) that are reissued/modified from the 2017 issuance. There are 4 new NWPs (55, 56, 57, and 58). The 2017 versions of NWPs 12, 21, 29, 39, 40, 42, 43, 44, 48, 50, 51, and 52 will expire on March 14, 2021.

In 2017, Jacksonville District published Jacksonville District’s Regional Conditions for the NWPs issued/reissued by the January 6, 2017, issue of the Federal Register (82 FR 1860) and subsequently published an update dated May 21, 2018. The 2018 version of the Jacksonville District Regional Conditions are not applicable to the 2021 versions of NWPs 12, 21, 29, 39, 40, 42, 43, 44, 48, 50, 51, and 52 that will go into effect on March 15, 2021.

There are 40 existing NWPs that were not reissued or modified by the January 13, 2021 final rule. Those 40 NWPs were published in the January 6, 2017, issue of the Federal Register (82 FR 1860) and those NWPs remain in effect until the Corps issues a final rule reissuing those NWPs or March 18, 2022, whichever comes first. The 2018 version of Jacksonville District’s Regional Conditions also remain in effect for those NWPs.
