Lieutenant Colonel Timika M. Wilson assumed responsibilities as the Deputy Commander of the Jacksonville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in September 2016.
She previously served as the Deputy Commander for the Far East District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. From August 2013 to Jun 2015, she served as the Commander of the 71st Engineer Detachment Forward Engineer Support Team-Advance (FEST-A) North Atlantic Division, and Baltimore District, United States Army Corps of Engineers, completing a six-month deployment to Jordan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). After completing the Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth in 2011, Wilson joined the 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized) as the Division Engineer Planner, a tour that included a deployment from August 2012 to May 2013 to Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
From 1998 to 2001, Wilson served in the 46th Engineer Battalion (Combat Heavy) Fort Polk, Louisiana. Her first assignment was as the 2nd Platoon Leader in the 814th EN CO (Assault Float Bridge). She then served as the Heavy Equipment Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for the Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC). She completed her tour with a deployment to Combined Joint Task Force Bravo Six in Arizona as the 46th Engineer Battalion Logistics Officer. In 2002, she took command of Echo Company (One Station Unit Training), 35th Engineer Battalion in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Wilson was selected for a second command in the United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) for the Pittsburgh Recruiting Company, Pittsburgh Battalion. In 2007, Wilson deployed to Kuwait as part of the Combined Forces Land Component Command (CFLCC) in United States Army Central (ARCENT) as the Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Qatar Action Officer. During her tenure, she assumed additional responsibilities as the ARCENT representative for Exercise Related Construction (ERC) in Jordan and the Sultanate of Oman. Wilson relocated to Fort McPherson in 2008 becoming an Operations Officer in the Construction Effects Division on the ARCENT staff. She completed an additional five month deployment to Kuwait from 2008-2009. Her duties culminated as the Plans and Programs Chief and Contingency Engineer Management Course (CEMC) developer in 2010.
Wilson’s military awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (7th Award), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3rd Award), Meritorious Unit Citation, Army Superior Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with Numeral 5, NATO Medal, Recruiting Badge Silver and the Order of the Bronze de Fleury Medal.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Wilson was commissioned into the United States Army in August 1997 from the Clemson University Army “Fighting Tiger” Battalion ROTC program.
Wilson is a graduate of the Engineer Basic, Combined Armed Services and Staff College, and Engineer Captain’s Career Course in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and the United States Army Recruiters School, Fort Jackson, South Carolina. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering from Clemson University and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from University of Missouri-Rolla.
Lt. Col. Wilson is the daughter of SFC (Army Retired) Leon and Peggy Jean Wilson of Union, South Carolina.
