1. DESCRIPTION

Salud Creek runs through the middle of the Portal de San German community in the Municipality of San Germán, Puerto Rico. The construction of the project includes clearing and grubbing of approximately 940 linear feet (LF) of eroded channel embankment, grading and compaction of the cleared ground surface, rehabilitation of two single barrel stormwater outfalls (culverts), full bank height bank armoring through the placement of 840 LF of anchored High Performance Turf Reinforcement Mat and concrete armoring of approximately 100 LF of channel embankment surrounding the culverts, and placement of approximately 4 inches of topsoil and sod or seed on stabilized areas.

4. STATUS

On 26 March 2019, the Project Partnership Agreement was executed. The Design and Implementation phase is ongoing with a construction contract awarded on 19 Sep 2019 for $1,018,065.73. Construction is scheduled for completion in fall 2020.
