The Corps has completed a Dredge Readiness and Operations Plan (DROP) for the 160-mile Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW). The plan outlines maintenance dredging locations and anticipated completion timeframes for identified dredging priorities over the next 15 years. The DROP also highlights locations where local inlet dredging with beneficial reuse of material and coupled with local beach nourishment schedules can be optimized.
