Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)

SAJ-2017-02743 (SP-TLO) - 1/10/2018: Broward County. Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, Ocoee, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic project purpose is linear transportation. Overall: The overall project purpose is to facilitate the projected increased transportation capacity and traffic demands and provide a safe, improved, and reliable evacuation route within the corridor of southeast Broward and northeast and central Miami-Dade Counties.

SAJ-2006-00617(RGP-TLW) - 1/8/2018: PROPOSED ISSUANCE OF REGIONAL GENERAL PERMIT (RGP) SAJ-20. PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL DOCKS/PIER FACILITIES AND MINOR STRUCTURES IN FLORIDA The Jacksonville District is proposing reissuance and updates to RGPs SAJ-17 (Minor Structures in Florida) and SAJ-20 (Private Residential Docks/Pier Facilities in Florida). Updates to the permit special conditions for these RGPs will address protection of threatened and endangered species as well as other regulatory program requirements. Due to the similar nature of activities authorized by the two referenced RGPs, the District is also proposing reissuance of both RGPs under one combined RGP. The proposed combined RGP will retain the identification number “SAJ-20” and will include work currently authorized by the two RGPs. SAJ-1994-00037-ADT - 1/5/2018: MODIFICATION SUMMARY: This Public Notice is issued to advertise the requested revisions to the final Mitigation Banking Instrument (MBI) approved by the Corps on January 14, 1997. Pursuant to 33 CFR 332.8(d)(4), the Corps has posted a full copy of the LPIMB MBI Modification online so that it is available for review by the public. The MBI Modification may be downloaded from the Regulatory In-Lieu Fee and Bank Information Tracking System (RIBITS) at web address: https://ribits.usace.army.mil.

SAJ-2016-02968 (SP-RLT) - 12/7/2017: Marion County. Florida Department of Transportation, District 5, Deland, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Linear transportation improvements. Overall: The overall project purpose is to expand SR 40 along an existing roadway from Silver Springs to CR 314 in central Marion County

SAJ-2006-00556 (SP-HMM) - 11/14/2017: Escambia County. The Residence at Nature Creek, LLC, Pensacola, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Residential Development Overall: Construct a multi-family residential development to accommodate the growing housing needs of Midwest Escambia County, Florida
