Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

  • ALTERNATIVE PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESSING PROCEDURES FOR ACTIVITIES IN RESPONSE TO HURRICANE DORIAN

    Expiration date: 3/1/2020

    The purpose of this notice is to advise the public that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, will initiate alternative permitting procedures throughout affected areas in the State of Florida, Common Wealth of Puerto Rico and USVI in response to conditions resulting from Hurricane Dorian. These alternate procedures will be utilized for a period of 6 months from the date of this Notice, or through 1 March 2020.

    Municipality of Guaynabo. Jose Gonzalez Freyre. Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Maintenance dredging. Overall: To provide appropriate depth for operation of vessels in the berthing zone of the existing Pan American Grain dock.

    Expiration date: 10/4/2019

    Southside Quarter, St. Thomas, USVI. Larry Kupfer. St. Thomas, USVI. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Shoreline stabilization and marine access for emergency response vessels. Overall: Stabilize the shoreline and construct a dock at the northwestern shore of Krum Bay to support the operation of emergency response vessels at VIWAPA’s Randolph E. Harley Plant.

  • SAJ-2017-00353 (SP-EPS)

    Expiration date: 9/20/2019

    Santa Rosa County. Lisa Phillips. Cleburne, Texas. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Land reclamation and shoreline stabilization. Overall: To reclaim land lost to erosion in order to improve the applicant’s use of the property, and to stabilize that reclaimed land and shoreline on the applicant’s parcel.

  • SAJ-2019-02806 (SP-DCM)

    Expiration date: 9/27/2019

    Municipality of Ponce. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Laguna Niguel. CA. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Docking space and marine access for boats. Overall: Replace and improve the existing pier and boat launching ramp at the U.S. Border Patrol & Air and Marine facility in Ponce, to provide safer working conditions for CBP personnel, and adequately support CBP’s mission.
