Project Design Agreement signed for Tampa Harbor Federal Deep Draft Navigation Project

(Sept. 16, 2025) – Another significant milestone checked off on the Tampa Harbor Federal Deep Draft Navigation Project as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Tampa Port Authority signed the Design Agreement authorizing the start of Preconstruction Engineering and Design (PED) this morning during a ceremony held at the Port of Tampa Bay. The joint signing of this agreement will allow the design of the project to move forward.

USACE Jacksonville District issues Notice of Availability of Proposed Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Environmental Assessment for Intracoastal Waterway Crossroads dredging project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District (Corps) is considering Operations and Maintenance (O&M) dredging within the Okeechobee Waterway (OWW) and Intracoastal Waterway (IWW) from Jacksonville to Miami. The proposed construction is within the portion of the IWW located in St. Lucie inlet locally known as Crossroads, in Martin County, Florida.
