Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

Overall: The overall purpose is to upgrade a section of the SR-31 corridor in Lee County, including the section along the Wilson Piggot Bridge and the crossing at SR 80, to improve traffic flow, safety, emergency response and regional roadway connections.

    Bay County. City of Panama Beach. Panama Beach, FL. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Linear Transportation Overall: The overall project purpose is construction of a new two lane roadway in the western portion of Panama City Beach to provide access for the general public to a city park from US HWY 98.

    Osceola County. Osceola Mitigation Development Company. St. Cloud, Fl. PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: The sponsor seeks authorization to preserve, enhance, establish, and restore wetland and upland communities on the 286.5-acre property. The primary ecological goal of the OMB is to restore the vegetative and hydrologic conditions within the forested and herbaceous communities through enhancement, rehabilitation and re-establishment mitigation activities, which include backfilling existing on-site ditches, mechanical vegetation removal, invasive and nuisance species control, prescribed burns, seeding and planting native plant species, removal of water control structures and installation of low water crossing to restore hydrologic flows.

    Flagler County. City of Palm Coast. Palm Coast, FL. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic project purpose is roadway improvements. Overall: The City of Palm Coast intends to improve surface water conveyance across Blare Drive and Colbert Lane at three crossings in order to provide an increased level of flood protection for upstream residential areas. The project will consist of replacing the existing culvert structures at three separate locations, two locations on Colbert Lane and one location on Blare Drive.
