Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

    Pinellas County. Robert Meador. Clearwater, Florida PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Construction of a multi-use county pedestrian trail. Overall: To construct a new 3 mile long sidewalk and multi-use path with stormwater outfall structures that connects to existing trail roads in Clearwater Florida in Pinellas County, Florida.

    Sarasota County. Gabbert Investment Group, LLC. Myakka City, Florida. PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: The sponsor seeks authorization to preserve and re-habilitate wetland and upland communities on the 700.93-acre property. The primary ecological goal of the SIMB is to restore native forested and herbaceous wetlands through the cessation of all agricultural and silvicultural activities, the rehabilitation of forested and herbaceous wetlands through nuisance exotic vegetation management, removal of cattle, and pine and oak tree thinning. The restoration plan will increase the representativeness of native riverine forests and freshwater basin/slough marsh systems within the Myakka River watershed.

    Monroe County. Monroe County Board of County Commissioners. Marathon, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The Basic project purpose is to develop an Artificial Reef for marine habitat enhancement. Overall: The overall project purpose is the development of an artificial reef with approved clean materials for marine habitat enhancement in waters of the Gulf of America, in Monroe County, Florida.

    Lee County. FDOT. Bartow, Fl. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic project purpose is roadway improvement. Overall: The overall purpose is to upgrade a section of the SR-31 corridor in Lee County, including the section along the Wilson Piggot Bridge and the crossing at SR 80, to improve traffic flow, safety, emergency response and regional roadway connections.
