Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

    Municipality of Lajas. Loretta Roberson. Woods Hole. MA. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Seaweed cultivation and harvesting. Overall: To test the performance and feasibility of a farm system for the cultivation and harvesting of tropical macroalgae species to provide year-round feed stocks for conversion to biofuels and production of valuable bioproducts. This project is funded by award DE-FOA-0000-1726-1506 from the U.S. Department of Energy Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) Macroalgae Research Inspiring Novel Energy Resources (MARINER) program to the Marine Biological Laboratory (PI L. Roberson). The projects funded by ARPA-E's MARINER program seek to develop the tools to enable the United States to become a global leader in the production of marine biomass.

    Duval County. North Florida Land Trust, Inc. Jacksonville, Florida. The Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received a complete prospectus proposing the establishment of a mitigation bank. The Corps has posted a full copy of the NSMMB prospectus online so that it is available for review by the public.

    Flagler County. Matanzas Park, LLC. Palm Coast, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Multi-family residential development. Overall: To construct a multi-family residential development along with its required infrastructure and stormwater management, within the northeastern portion of Flagler County.

    St. Johns County. Toll Brothers, Incorporated. Ponte Vedra, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic project purpose is residential development. Overall: The overall project purpose is the establishment of a residential development, with associated infrastructure, serving a residential market within northwest St. Johns County.

    PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Navigation/improved boating access Overall: Increase the navigable depth and reconfigure watercraft access structures at the Madeira Beach Town Center Marina.
