Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

  • REGIONAL CONDITIONS FOR ISSUANCE OF 16 NATIONWIDE PERMITS

    Entire Jacksonville District. Enclosed are Jacksonville District’s Regional Conditions for 16 Nationwide Permits (NWPs) published in the January 13, 2021, issue of the Federal Register (86 FR 2744). These 16 NWPs and the enclosed Jacksonville District’s Regional Conditions become effective March 15, 2021, and will expire on March 14, 2026.

  • PUBLIC NOTICE FOR FEDERAL REGISTER NOTICE

    On January 13, 2021, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) published a final rule in the Federal Register (86 FR 2744) announcing the reissuance of 12 existing nationwide permits (NWPs) and four new NWPs, as well as the reissuance of NWP general conditions and definitions with some modifications. These 16 NWPs will go into effect on March 15, 2021, and will expire on March 14, 2026.

  • ALTERNATIVE PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESSING PROCEDURES FOR ACTIVITIES IN RESPONSE TO HURRICANE SALLY

    Expiration date: 3/24/2021

    All affected Florida Counties. The purpose of this notice is to advise the public that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, will initiate alternative permitting procedures throughout affected areas in the State of Florida in response to conditions resulting from Hurricane Sally. These alternate procedures will be utilized for a period of 6 months from September 24, 2020, and through March 24, 2021:

  • PROGRAMMATIC GENERAL PERMIT, SAJ-83, SAJ-2004-03931 (PGP-KDS)

    Expiration date: 10/21/2020

    Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation (BCSIR). To simplify and streamline permitting of Department of Army (DA) permits, the Jacksonville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) is proposing to update and re-issue the above-listed Programmatic General Permit (PGP).

  • PROGRAMMATIC GENERAL PERMIT, SAJ-71, SAJ-2005-09309 (PGP-KDS)

    Expiration date: 10/21/2020

    Live Rock Aquaculture - Off the Coasts of Florida. To simplify and streamline permitting of Department of Army (DA) permits, the Jacksonville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) is proposing to update and re-issue the above-listed Programmatic General Permit (PGP).
