Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

  • PROGRAMMATIC GENERAL PERMIT (PGP), SAJ-99, SAJ-2007-03138

    Expiration date: 12/26/2019

    PROPOSED MODIFICATION TO DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The FDACS has requested a modification to this PGP to include the following new activities: • production and harvest of native marine plants and macroalgae, including use of authorized shellfish gear and new off-bottom suspended longlines, • use of off-bottom macroalgae production methods within the boundaries of Gulf sturgeon critical habitat, and • production and harvest of native scallops using off-bottom suspended longline culture methods, including waters within the boundaries of Gulf sturgeon critical habitat.

  • ALTERNATIVE PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESSING PROCEDURES FOR ACTIVITIES IN RESPONSE TO HURRICANE DORIAN

    Expiration date: 3/1/2020

    The purpose of this notice is to advise the public that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, will initiate alternative permitting procedures throughout affected areas in the State of Florida, Common Wealth of Puerto Rico and USVI in response to conditions resulting from Hurricane Dorian. These alternate procedures will be utilized for a period of 6 months from the date of this Notice, or through 1 March 2020.

  • SAJ-2015-02343 (SP-JSC)

    Notice of Availability (NOA) for the East Lake Tohopekaliga Drawdown and Habitat Enhancement (East Lake Toho) Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Draft EIS).
  • Regional General Permit (RGP) SAJ-13; SAJ-2005-09320 (RGP-JCP)

    All Counties in Florida, excluding Monroe. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, has re-issued the Regional General Permit (RGP) SAJ-13; Aerial Transmission Lines in Florida. This RGP authorizes activities required for the installation, construction, maintenance, replacement, and repair of aerial transmission and distribution lines over all waters of the United States (WoUS) in the State of Florida. Authority is also given for discharges associated with the construction, maintenance, replacement, and/or repair of electrical substations and access roads for the construction and maintenance of overhead power lines and electrical substations, in non-navigable WoUS in the State of Florida. This authorization is valid subject to the Special and General Conditions within the RGP.

These alternate procedures will be utilized for a period of 6 months from the date of this Notice, or through 8 April 2019.
