USACE releases the Environmental Assessment for Anclote River Florida Project for Public Comment

Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended (NEPA), and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District (USACE), Regulation (32 CFR 651), the Environmental Assessment (EA) and proposed Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the proposed Anclote River, Florida Project (EAXX-202-00-K3P-1765294248) is being released for a 30-day public comment period.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers completes record-scale event at Everglades Agricultural Area Reservoir Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Jacksonville District on Wednesday, as part of the ongoing construction of the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) Reservoir Project, completed one of the largest controlled construction detonations ever conducted, a critical component of Everglades restoration. USACE will efficiently use the onsite material produced by detonation to construct a dam from natural materials that meets dam safety standards.

USACE Jacksonville awards contract for Venice Beach Shore Protection Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Jacksonville District awarded a contract on April 13, 2026, to Weeks Marine of Covington, Louisiana, for the third periodic renourishment of the Venice Beach Hurricane and Storm Damage Reduction Project.
