Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

    Levy County. Trailhead Blue Springs, LLC, San Antonio, Florida. PROSPECTUS SUMMARY: Pursuant to 33 CFR 332.8(d)(4), the Corps has posted a full copy of the BSMB prospectus online so that it is available for review by the public. The prospectus may be downloaded from the Regulatory In-Lieu Fee and Bank Information Tracking System (RIBITS) at web address: https://ribits.ops.usace.army.mil/ords/f?p=107:2. Once on the RIBITS homepage, select "Jacksonville" from the "ALL DISTRICTS" drop down menu located in the lower left corner of the screen. Once the district filter has been selected, click on the “Banks & ILF Sites” link located in the Navigation box (upper left corner). This will generate a list of projects, scroll down the list and click on the “Blue Springs MB” link. On this page, click on the "Cyber Repository" link located on the menu bar above the General Information box, then click on the Prospectus Documents folder to access the prospectus associated with the BSMB project.

    Duval County. United States Naval Station Mayport, Mayport, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: The purpose of the proposed project is to conduct maintenance dredging to provide safe passage of U.S. Navy vessels to maintain national defense readiness. EXISTING CONDITIONS: The proposed maintenance dredging would occur within open tidal waters and within the footprints of the existing Turning Basin, Destroyer Slip, Small Boat Basin, Mayport Entrance Channel, Bar Cut. A previous DA Permit to dredge these areas was issued on 17 July 2014 and remains valid until 17 July 2024. The expected dredged materials from each dredge area are as follows: Mayport Turning Basin--sand, silty, some fine to medium-grained quartz, some silt, few medium-grained shell, dark gray; Mayport Entrance Channel--sand, silty, mostly fine to medium-grained quartz, some silt, few medium-grained shell, dark gray; and Bar Cut 3--sand, silty, mostly fine to medium-grained sand-sized quartz, some sand to gravel-sized shell, little silt, gray.

    Collier County. Ana Pedrajo. U. S. 41 & Greenway Road, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The applicant states the basic project purpose is to develop a residential community. Overall: The applicant states the overall project purpose is to develop an economically viable residential community with access to existing public utilities and located near schools, hospitals, and other public amenities in southeast Collier County.

    USACE is pleased to announce that the new national online application portal and management platform, known as the Regulatory Request System (RRS) now includes an electronic submission option for permit applications. This platform has been introduced to modernize our permit application process and to address our users' expectations by providing a straightforward and transparent process for the submittal of permit requests.
