Effective immediately: public notices are published with only the vicinity map, plan view and cross-section drawing. If you are interested in receiving additional project drawings associated with any public notice, please send an email to the project manager at the email address listed in the public notice.

 

Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

    Santa Rosa County. City of Gulf Breeze- Parks and Recreation Director. Gulf Breeze, FL. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Increased recreational fishing and boating access. Overall:  Increased recreational fishing and boating access to Santa Rosa Sound from Shoreline Park South.

    Saint Johns County. Mr. Jason Couturier. International Golf Parkway/Nine Mile Road, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Mixed-use commercial and residential development. Overall: The applicant proposes to discharge fill material into wetlands to finish constructing the final portion of the St. Johns DRI project, a master-planned mixed-use community and other associated infrastructure.

    Osceola County. American Saint Cloud Investments, LLC . St. Cloud, FL. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: Residential Housing Development Overall: The overall project purpose is to create a mixed-use residential development, associated infrastructure and stormwater ponds and to provide a localized and regional residential area for northwest Osceola County. This work is proposed due to the increasing demand for affordable housing with the Osceola County area. The project proposes access roads, residential homes, and a stormwater management system. The demand for the project revolves around the region’s strong housing market in terms of sales and permitting volume, a strong job growth market and a strong future jobs growth market. Parameters considered in the appropriateness of the site to support Kissimmee and the region include access and proximity to major interstate road corridors, accessibility for daily residential commutes, regional shopping, and anticipated growth rates.

    Escambia County. TN General Partnership. Pensacola, Florida. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The basic project purpose is to construct a single-family residential subdivision consisting of 129 lots. Overall: The overall project purpose is to construct a 129 lot, single-family residential subdivision within an approximately 81-ac property located in the vicinity of South Loop Road, in Pensacola, Florida.

    Walton County. Circle K Stores, Inc. Santa Rosa Beach, Fl. PROJECT PURPOSE: Basic: The purpose of the commercial gas station/mixed use project is to provide much needed fueling and shopping opportunities in the growing development market of Santa Rosa Beach and the Hwy 98 corridor. The project site is on the east corner of US Hwy 98 and HWY 393. This region of Walton Co. has seen rapid economic and annual population growth with few developable parcels remaining. The location of the site makes it ideal, as it is along the major commuting route for residents and tourist of Santa Rosa Beach and 30A. Overall: The overall project purpose is to a convenience store/gas station commercial development with two entrances, stormwater, and parking in the vicinity of Hwy 98 and Hwy 393 to serve the Santa Rosa Beach market. The project also includes a single-family residence to the south of the main commercial development. The total project site is +/-10.07 acres with 2.94 acres of uplands and 7.10 acres of wetlands and 0.03 acres of isolated wetlands. Wetland impacts include 0.03 acres to isolated wetlands and 1.99 acres to jurisdictional wetlands. Total wetland impacts are 2.02 acres.
