The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District has released an environmental report for public review on its proposal for additional embankment repairs on Herbert Hoover Dike surround Lake Okeechobee.
The report, known as an environmental assessment and draft finding of no significant impact focuses on a Corps proposal to extend embankment repairs in a six-mile area between Lake Harbor and Belle Glade on the south side of the lake. The document will be available for a 60-day review, with comments accepted until May 10.
