    JACKSONVILLE, Florida (July 1, 2024) – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Jacksonville District, will begin dredging of the Saint Lucie Inlet, Martin County, Florida, on July 2, 2024.
  • USACE Increases Lake Okeechobee Releases to Caloosahatchee

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Jacksonville District will increase Lake Okeechobee releases at the W.P. Franklin Lock and Dam (S-79) from the current 1,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) to 2,000 cfs beginning April 24.
  • USACE to reduce Lake Okeechobee releases beginning April 3

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District will reduce Lake Okeechobee releases to coastal estuaries beginning Saturday in an effort to slow the lake’s recession rate. Releases to the Caloosahatchee will be reduced to 1,200 cubic feet per second (cfs) as measured at the W.P. Franklin Lock and Dam (S-79) and to 300 cfs as measured at the St. Lucie Lock and Dam (S-80).
  • Corps announces St. Lucie Inlet maintenance dredging award

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announces the St. Lucie Inlet maintenance dredging contract award of $5,432,400 to Norfolk Dredging of Chesapeake, Va. The project consists of dredging shoal material from the St. Lucie Inlet to return the channel to its authorized depths.
