  • Corps awards $81 million in construction contracts for Everglades restoration

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District, awarded four construction contracts for ecosystem restoration in south Florida in the past week, valued at more than $81 million. The construction projects include the Biscayne Bay Coastal Wetlands, Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP) South, and Picayune Strand Restoration Projects, which are components of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP).

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the non-Federal Sponsor, Collier County, Florida, invite the public to attend an informational public meeting on the Collier County Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibility Study. The Corps and county will host the meeting Sept. 9, from 5-7 p.m., at the Collier County Administrative Building, 3299 Tamiami Trail East, Bldg. F, 3rd Floor, Naples, FL 34112.

  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers hosts scoping meeting for Collier County Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibility Study

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District will host a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) scoping meeting for the Collier County Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibility Study. The meeting is set for Thursday, December 6 at the Collier County Administrative Building, 3299 Tamiami Trail, East Building F, 5th Floor Conference Room, Naples, Florida 34112. The meeting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m.

  • Corps of Engineers awards Gordon Pass dredging contract

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a maintenance dredging contract June 24 for the Naples to Big Marco, Gordon Pass located in Collier County. The federal channel is about 4.5 miles long and has an authorized depth of 12 feet.

  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issues permit for Clam Pass dredging

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Jacksonville District has issued Nationwide Permit 3, authorizing a one-time dredging event for Clam Pass, the inlet between Clam Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
