    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, will begin maintenance dredging of the federal navigation channel (also known as Matanzas Pass) in the vicinity of Fort Myers Beach, Florida, as early as Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023.

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, has awarded a $5,911,728 contract to Cashman Dredging & Marine Contracting Co., LLC, of Quincy, Massachusetts, for maintenance dredging of Palm Beach Harbor, Florida. The project, undertaken in partnership with the Port of Palm Beach, will be 100 percent federally funded.
  • Corps awards funding for Mayaguez Harbor maintenance dredging in Puerto Rico

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District awarded an additional $1.63 million, May 21, to a previously issued contract to Weeks Marine, Inc., for the Arecibo harbor maintenance dredging. The additional funding increases the total contract awarded this past January to $6.3 million and now includes maintenance dredging of the Mayaguez harbor in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District awarded a $4.675 million contract Jan. 14, 2020 to Weeks Marine, Inc., for the Arecibo Harbor maintenance dredging in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Weeks Marine, of Covington, Louisiana, will be responsible for dredging approximately 110,000 cubic yards of shoal material from the Arecibo Harbor
  • Miami Harbor maintenance dredging assessment is out for review

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces a draft environmental assessment and proposed finding of no significant impact for the operation and maintenance dredging and dredged material placement for the Miami Harbor Navigation Project inner harbor, Miami-Dade County. The draft information is available for public, state and agency review and comment starting today, July 18, and ending Aug. 19, 2019.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announced today that a contract was awarded to Southwind Construction Corps in the amount of $2.3 million for maintenance dredging of the St. Augustine Inlet.
