Construction Scheduling Branch is responsible for staff actions in support of construction projects within the Jacksonville District's area of responsibility (AOR) related to:
- Provide technical assistance to Area, Resident and Project Offices for general construction schedule management, including reviews of project schedules.
- Monitor construction projects monthly for schedule progress and report to other Construction branches. Participate in monthly schedule meetings for all projects as needed.
- Provide technical assistance to Area, Resident and Project Offices in the preparation of delay analysis and negotiation of unusual or difficult time extension modifications.
- Investigate contractor claims, perform delay analysis, and prepare technical presentations to be used by Office of Counsel in presenting these claims to the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals or other Court of Claims.
- Participate in Alternate Disputes Resolution (ADR) procedures regarding delay analysis.
- Perform BCOES reviews regarding contract duration and construction scheduling.
- Provide construction schedule management training to personnel within Area, Resident and Project Offices.
- Maintain liaison with USACE Scheduling Working Group and HQUSACE regarding all technical matters related to construction schedule management.
- Support the objective organization process by monitoring workload, expenditures, and resources.
- Provide expert technical assistance to other USACE offices or the Department of Justice when requested, when practicable.
