Lee Martin, Biologist, engages Dunbar High School students during a STEM outreach presentation at the W.P. Franklin South recreation area, explaining the biology and conservation of the endangered Okeechobee gourd, which is only found on Lake Okeechobee. Throughout the session, students learned how environmental science and biology are used in Martin’s day-to-day work and were able to explore another STEM-focused career path.
