U.S. Army Corps of Engineers continue to support Hurricane Idalia. The federal disaster relief mission is expected to operate in a challenging environment with the eminent arrival of Hurricane Idalia. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District deployed staff to the State of Florida Emergency Operations Center (EOC), the South Florida Water Management District EOC, and pre-positioned staff in several key locations to be prepared to begin recovery operations as soon as it is safe. We are working closely with local, state and federal officials to coordinate preparedness and response activities.
