4. STATUS
Maintenance dredging of the project was last completed in FY23. In FY24, the second phase of offloading dredged material from the upland disposal area began, which includes hauling of over 700,000 cubic yards to create additional upland capacity for future maintenance dredging. The offloaded material is being beneficially used as fill for an environmental restoration project at Washington Park. The next maintenance dredging event is scheduled for FY26.
