Public Notice Notifications

The Jacksonville District currently has five categories of public notice notification mailing lists. If you wish to receive email notifications when new public notices are added to this page, please send a request to Regulatory Webmaster.  Each category is described below. Be sure to specify which list(s) you want to be included on.

Florida - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the State of Florida.

Antilles - This includes all public notices for projects being reviewed for Standard Permits within the Antilles area (this includes Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands).

Tropical Storms & Other Emergencies - These public notices provide information on procedures for emergency permitting requirements due to specific tropical storm events or other emergency situations.

Special Issues - These are public notices that involve the Regulatory program but which are generally not limited to one particular geographic area. These would include public notices for the establishment or modification of Restricted Areas/Danger Zones, re-issuance of General Permits or Nationwide Permits, changes to guidance and policies, etc.

Administrative Penalty - These public notices provide information associated with Administrative Penalties. An Administrative Penalty can be assessed to address violations associated with issued Department of the Army permits.

Federal Supplement Public Notice

Published Feb. 8, 2017
Expiration date: 3/2/2017
Please fill in and include the enclosed Supplemental Information for Federal Permitting (Supplement) when submitting the Joint Application Form 62-330.060(1) (JA) to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Water Management District or delegated local program (DEP/WMD). The Supplement provides federal-only information fields not found in the JA. Absence of the Supplement may cause us to pause review of your application to ask for this information. Please keep the Supplement separate from the rest of the JA (electronically or hardcopy) so the DEP/WMD can easily forward to us the Supplement along with the applicable portions of the JA.

You are invited to a webinar on this topic at 2 pm, March 1, 2017 (flyer enclosed).

The Supplement is designed to provide, in combination with certain fields in the JA, the information required at 33 CFR 325.1(d) Content of application. Absence of this information may delay our issuing the Public Notice and/or coordination letters that are among our initial review steps toward determining whether to issue a Standard Permit (SP) or Letter of Permission (LOP). If you are seeking verification under a specific Nationwide Permit (NWP) or Regional General Permit (RGP), note that the terms and conditions of that NWP/RGP may require information not found on the Supplement and some fields may not be applicable.

If you transmit directly to the Corps your request for a Department of Army authorization, you must use the APPLICATION FOR DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY PERMIT ENG Form 4345 if seeking an SP or LOP. For a NWP or RGP, we strongly encourage you use the ENG Form 4345 (because the standardized format speeds our initial processing steps) but note the specific NWP/RGP may require information not found on ENG Form 4345 and some fields may not be applicable. Enclosed are our mailing and electronic addresses.

If you fill in and include the ENG form 4345 when submitting either the Request for Verification of an Exemption, Form 62-330.050(1), or Notice of Intent to Use an Environmental Resource General Permit, Form 62-330.402(1), then the DEP/WMD will forward to us. That information will speed our initial review processes.
