USACE South Atlantic Division has approved a temporary deviation to the Lake Istokpoga regulation schedule which The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) formally requested on 12 February 2026.

The temporary deviation will be in place through 31 Dec 2027. This action provides availability for increased water supply releases from Lake Istokpoga should drought conditions continue. The deviation is intended to allow additional releases in Zone B of the schedule, and includes a new temporary zone C1 which allows water supply releases down to elevation 36.0 ft NGVD 29.
