1. DESCRIPTION

Salud Creek runs through the middle of the Portal de San German community in the Municipality of San Germán, Puerto Rico. The construction of the project includes clearing and grubbing of approximately 940 linear feet (LF) of eroded channel embankment, grading and compaction of the cleared ground surface, rehabilitation of two single barrel stormwater outfalls (culverts), full bank height bank armoring through the placement of 840 LF of anchored High Performance Turf Reinforcement Mat and concrete armoring of approximately 100 LF of channel embankment surrounding the culverts, and placement of approximately 4 inches of topsoil and sod or seed on stabilized areas.

4. STATUS

The Project Partnership Agreement executed on 26 March 2019.  The Design and Implementation phase is ongoing with estimated completion of plan and specifications 30 April 2019 and contract award in 2019.
