    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host its final Regulatory Division Open House Wed., Sept. 3 at 8:30 a.m. at the Charles W. Turnbull Regional Library, 4607 Tutu Park Mall, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The Corps will also host a public meeting Thurs., Sept. 25 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Charles. W. Turnbull Regional Library to discuss the permit application by Coral World, Inc. for construction of a nearshore dolphin exhibit enclosure and landside support and visitor education center.
  • Review board approves Flagler County shoreline study

    Jacksonville, Fla. – Jacksonville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, received unanimous approval today by a senior government panel to move forward with the final state and agency review on the Flagler County, Fla., Hurricane and Storm Damage Reduction (HSDR) Project.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District is considering an application by the Captiva Erosion Prevention District for a Department of the Army permit to address erosion through beach renourishment along 6.5 miles of shoreline between Redfish Pass in Captiva and Bowman’s Beach in Sanibel, Lee County, Florida. The Corps issued a Public Notice August 5 and comments are due by August 26, 2014.
